synopsis

A small-time con artist gets a chance to become a real hero after crashing a wedding, and meeting a little girl who may be his long-lost daughter. Clever grifter Shiva (Akshay Kumar) is living it up at a stranger's wedding when he falls for Priya (Sonakshi Sinha), a pretty guest who succumbs to his effortless charms. But it all goes wrong when six-year-old Neha shows up claiming to be the daughter Shiva never knew. At first crafty Shiva simply brushes her aside. But when a group of dangerous gangsters get Shiva locked in their sights, he realizes he'll have to fight back in order to save Priya and Neha. But it won't be easy, because in order to succeed Shiva will have to travel to the town of Bahir, where a corrupt MLA (Minister of Legislative Assembly) rules with an iron fist. Now if Shiva can just topple the crooked official and save the town, he may finally redeem himself and get the girl of his dreams in the process.



Story:
Shiva (Akshay Kumar) is a small time conman in love with Priya (Sonakshi Sinha), a pretty girl whom he met at a wedding he wasn't invited to. Into this picture perfect world enters six year old Neha who inexplicably believes Shiva to be her dad! And if this wasn't bad enough, Shiva also becomes the object of a series of life threatening attacks by a gang of deadly criminals who seem to know something he doesn't. While trying desperately to save his life and love, Shiva stumbles upon a deadly secret. A secret that will take him to a small town in Bihar; a town terrorized by a ruthless politician and the mafia he controls; a town whose inhabitants only hope for redemption is ... Shiva!
